Girl Education
Girl education is one of the most common issues of India. Out of the vast population of India about 70 % of the people do not support girl education, especially in villages. They are not aware of various programs and facilities available to educate girls. They are conservative in their thinking regarding education for girls. They are apprehensive to empower the girl child with education. Issues of looking after family and bringing up a family rise and this is very central to villages. They think that a girl must marry and go to her in-law’s house. They believe it is a waste investing in their education.
Today, government supports girls education in every possible way. Our school also supports girls education and its slogan is “Empowering the girl child people through education”. School gives scholarships to girls so parents do not have to pay fees for their daughters. This is one step to encourage girl child education in rural areas. We should support girl education in every possible way, because girls are no less than boys. They are equally important in a democratic country like India.
