Mount Abu Picnic Experience
Mount Abu is a picturesque hill station located in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is known for its stunning natural beauty, serene lakes, and verdant hills. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Mount Abu for a picnic with my colleagues. In this report, I will share my experience of the picnic and the various activities we indulged in.
Picnic Preparation:
Our picnic was planned well in advance, and we started our journey early in the morning. As we reached the hill station, we were greeted by the cool breeze and the lush greenery that surrounded us.
Picnic Spot:
We had chosen a scenic spot by Nakki Lake for our picnic. The lake was surrounded by hills, and the view was breathtaking. We spread our carpets on the grass and set up snacks and drinks on a table. We also played some music to create a lively atmosphere.
Activities:
We started with some light snacks, chatted, and laughed as we enjoyed the food. Afterward, we decided to go boating on the lake. We rented a paddle boat and rowed around the lake, admiring the scenic beauty and the peaceful surroundings. We even had a small photo session, capturing the picturesque views and some fun moments

The Fabindians rejoice a day in Mount Abu
1st April 2023:The Fabindia School explored a day with the teachers at Mount Abu in Rajasthan visiting different historical places like the Dilwara Jain Temple, Guru Shikhar, Nakki jhil, Honeymoon point, and Sunset point including other beautiful places. A span of eighteen hours tour amazed us with mesmerizing and picturesque views captured by our eyes. We were scheduled to board the bus from Kacheri at 5:30 am and traveled mostly through solitary nature and the hills which were quite peaceful from our crowded living. In Mt. Abu, every moment triggered us with new excitements whether it is Boating, Horse riding, or tasting the flavour of our presence at those relaxing moments. I believe that nature is the real form of consuming our psychological wickes or our surroundings; it makes us relax in its lap.
Dilwara Jain Temple: An internationally recognized ‘Dilwara Jain Temple’, with a 145 x 95 ft area & intricate curving of a solid white marvel, has a history upwards of a thousand years framing the significance of Mount Abu. The temple is devoted to Adinath, placed in the first room of the temple, and was initially built in 1031 AD. Later on, it is to be said that it was constructed with 1500 artists and 1200 workers investing 18 crores and 53 lakhs rupees in the span of 48 years. It’s such a place where Jain Thirthankaras used to stay during the time of Mahabharata. The highly decorated pillars are full of goddess figures, ornaments patterns, and shapes. You may be amazed by the super realistic & rhythmic curving which seems impossible but it’s fact. Now the temple has been taken care of by the Jain society.
Nakki Lake: The man-made beautiful lake is situated in Aravalli range crowded with visitors and food sellers. The lake is surrounded by small hills and beautiful scenery. We ceiling the boat together and enjoyed ourselves a lot in a romantic and wonderful environment. Few of us enjoyed the horse riding and trekking towards sunset point.
Sunset Point: Another celestial half-panoramic sunset view has been seen from the sunset point when the sun goes down. It is located at Machgoan in Mt.abu. The place has the most beautiful sight for unfurling your eyes to the long distance. We observed the incessant changes of mesmerized colors in the sky during sunset. The sitting stairs on stones are a little unbalanced although it covered by staircases in a few parts. It is satisfying for nature lovers and others as well. Nature always gives you space to live, and explore and lets you enjoy yourself in its lap. Nature is very calm and peaceful and never forces you towards anything, just lets things happen but itself is a very beautiful creation. That’s the reason people find its beauty and tend to be with it. It’s just a form of witness.
Thank you Principal ma’am for this wonderful trip together

It was a beautiful experience to visit Mount Abu with my colleagues. It's a medium-height hill station with full greenery and a water lake. Nakki Lake is of good size with enough water. The top view of Guru Shikhar and Achalgarh is high with scenery on the way. The best moments I experienced were Sunset point, a calm, peaceful, and beautiful view of the entire mountain valley along with the Nakki Lake. It's like sitting in the lap of nature. How beautifully nature forms and blesses our eyes.
